PRUDENTIAL ANNUITIES NAMES JOSEPH FUSCHILLO EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF DISTRIBUTION

      Newark, N.J. – Prudential Annuities, the domestic annuity business for Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU), announced that Joseph Fuschillo has joined Prudential Annuities as executive vice president of Distribution. In this role, Fuschillo will lead Annuities’ four distribution channels--the independent broker dealer, wirehouse, bank and agency--and oversee activities of the organization’s national sales desk. He will report to David Odenath, president of Prudential Annuities. 
 
      “Having worked with Joe, I know he is an excellent leader who drives results. His depth of experience in integrating distribution teams and entering new markets will serve us well as we work to increase market share and strengthen our leadership position,” said Odenath.   

      Fuschillo brings more than 20 years of experience to the position, including assignments of increasing responsibility in sales and investment consulting services with Paine Webber, and later UBS Financial Services. He led Paine Webber’s move into the managed account business in the mid- 1980’s and was instrumental in establishing and growing the firm’s consultative fee-based culture. Most recently, Fuschillo was managing director and head of distribution for products and services at UBS. In this role, he led all distribution efforts in North America, including development and implementation of a new channel focusing on ultra high-net-worth investors.
