PRUDENTIAL’S ‘ROCK YER BRAIN’ TRIVIA RINGS IN THE NEW YEAR ON ‘SPECTACULAR’ TIMES SQUARE SIGN


What:      When was the first Times Square celebration? What was the original name of Times Square? What did the first New Year’s ball weigh?
 
These are just some of the 90 trivia questions that will run on Prudential Financial’s (NYSE:PRU) Spectacular Times Square sign on New Year’s Eve. The ‘Rock Yer Brain’ trivia will test onlooker’s knowledge of such topics as history, pop culture, and the annual New Year’s celebration in New York City’s Times Square.
 
When:      Monday, December 31, 2007 through Tuesday, January 1, 2008
Trivia to run from 4:00 p.m. on December 31 – midnight on January 31
(32 hours in total)  
                       
Where:     The trivia will run on Prudential’s Spectacular sign that sits atop Two Times Square in New York City. The sign is a light emitting diode, or LED video screen illuminated by nearly 800,000 individual LED bulbs. It measures 40-by-40 feet, stands 300 feet above Times Square and, with a pixel resolution of 512 by 512, the image quality is just one step below high definition.
