Position: CEO, U.S. Insurance & Retirement Businesses

Caroline Feeney is CEO, U.S. Insurance & Retirement Businesses for Prudential Financial, Inc. These businesses provide financial advice and develop, distribute and service income and protection solutions for individual and institutional clients. This segment comprises Group Insurance, Individual Life Insurance, Prudential Retirement Strategies, the Retail Advice and Solutions organization, as well as key support functions which include Enabling Solutions and Enterprise Capabilities.

Prior to her current role, Feeney was CEO of Individual Solutions, and prior to that, was president of Prudential Individual Life Insurance and Prudential Advisors.

Feeney is Prudential’s representative for the National Association for Female Executives, serves on its Executive Roundtable, and is also a board member of the Alliance for Lifetime Income. Within Prudential, Feeney is the executive sponsor of Women Empowered, Prudential’s employee-focused business resource group. As a trustee of Prudential’s Corporate Social Responsibility Oversight Committee, she helps guide the company’s foundation and its investments to strengthen communities and realize Prudential’s belief that financial security should be within reach for everyone.

Feeney is a member of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women, has been recognized by Working Mother magazine as Prudential’s Working Mother of the Year, by Executive Women of New Jersey as Prudential’s Policy Maker, and was a recipient of the Women of Excellence P&L Award from the National Association of Female Executives. In 2018, she became the first woman to receive the Round Table of New York’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Feeney began her career with Prudential in 1993 and held several field leadership positions and home office executive roles, including president of Prudential Advisors, which is Prudential’s national sales organization comprising more than 3,000 financial professionals, advisors and fee-based financial planners.

Feeney earned her MBA from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University. She holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations.
