Andrew Sullivan , Chief Executive Officer

Andrew (Andy) Sullivan is chief executive officer of Prudential Financial, Inc. Prior to assuming his current role, Sullivan served as executive vice president and head of Prudential’s international businesses and global investment management. Previously, he was executive vice president and head of Prudential’s U.S. Businesses and president of the firm’s Group Insurance business 

Before joining Prudential in 2011, Sullivan served as a senior vice president with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, where he was accountable for the individual and senior business segments. Sullivan also held several senior leadership positions at Cigna and led merger and acquisition initiatives for health care, international and group insurance. Earlier in his career, Sullivan held management roles at Diamond Technology Partners and DaimlerChrysler. 

Sullivan received an executive MBA from the University of Delaware. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis and served as a nuclear submarine officer. He serves on the board of directors for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).

Scott Case , Executive Vice President, Head of Global Technology and Operations

Scott Case is executive vice president, head of Global Technology and Operations at Prudential Financial. In this role, he oversees information technology and cybersecurity across Prudential’s locations worldwide to deliver added value for customers, employees and shareholders through the optimal use of data, information, and digital and technology platforms. In addition to technology and data, Case will have responsibility for enterprise operations, including corporate real estate, global security, event management, the project management office, and sourcing and procurement.  

Case joined Prudential in 2024 with more than 30 years of experience in technology and operations. Over the course of his career Case has led transformational change and delivered innovative solutions for companies including John Hancock, First Union National Bank, and Bank of America. Prior to Prudential, Case was chief information officer at Truist, where, among other initiatives, he led the technology integration of SunTrust and BB&T, which merged in 2019 to form Truist. At SunTrust he served as chief technology officer for the company’s consumer segment. In this role he drove the delivery of technology solutions supporting products and services for consumer lending, mortgage, retail banking and private wealth management.  

Case brings to Prudential deep technical expertise, innovative ideas, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. He received a B.S. from SUNY Geneseo and an MBA in finance from UNC Charlottes Belk College of Business.

Jacques Chappuis , President and Chief Executive Officer, PGIM

Jacques Chappuis is president and chief executive officer of PGIM, a leading global asset manager across public and private asset classes. 

With over 25 years of financial services experience, Chappuis was most recently the co-head of Morgan Stanley Investment Management and a member of the Morgan Stanley Management Committee. From 2016 to 2023, Chappuis was global head of distribution and co-head of the Solutions and Multi-Asset Group for MSIM. 

Chappuis was the head of Investment Solutions at the Carlyle Group from 2013 to 2016, and prior to that he held senior leadership roles in Morgan Stanleys Investment Management and Wealth Management businesses. 

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Chappuis was head of alternative investments for Citigroups Global Wealth Management Group and before that a managing director at Citigroup Alternative Investments, the firm’s proprietary alternative investment unit. He was also a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and an investment banker at Bankers Trust Company. 

He received a B.A. in finance from Tulane University and an MBA, with honors, from Columbia Business School. Chappuis is a board member of Centro para la Nueva Economia, a Puerto Rico–based think tank focused on policy matters related to the island’s economy.

Caroline Feeney , Executive Vice President and Global Head of Retirement and Insurance

Caroline Feeney leads Prudential’s international and U.S. retirement and insurance businesses. These businesses provide financial advice and develop, distribute and service income and protection solutions forindividuals and institutional clients.  

Feeney oversees retirement and insurance businesses in 12 countries, including the U.S., Japan, and Emerging Markets in Asia and Latin America. The U.S. businesses include Group Insurance, Individual Life Insurance, Retirement Strategies, and Prudential Advisors.  

Prudential is the largest life insurer in the U.S. (life and health combined) with 38,000 employees worldwide, annual revenue of $68 billion and after-tax earnings of $4.6 billion in 2024, both on an adjusted operating income basis.  

Feeney has extensive leadership roles in the financial services industry. She is board chair of LL Global, the nonprofit parent company of financial services industry groups LIMRA (Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association) and LOMA (Life Office Management Association). She also is board chair of the Alliance for Lifetime Income and a member of the American Council of Life Insurers’ Executive Committee and its Policy and Regulatory Steering Committees.  

As a trustee of Prudential’s Corporate Social Responsibility Oversight Committee, Feeney helps guide the company’s foundation and its investments to strengthen communities and realize Prudential’s belief that financial security should be within reach for everyone. She is also board co-chair of PruVen Capital, an independently managed venture fund backed by Prudential.  

Feeney was recognized by the Geneva Association with the Women in Insurance Award in 2023 for her commitment to inclusion and her efforts to expand access to financial security. She has also been recognized by Executive Women of New Jersey as Prudential’s Policy Maker and was a recipient of the Women of Excellence P&L Award from the National Association of Female Executives. In 2018, she became the first woman to receive the Round Table of New York’s Lifetime Achievement Award.  

During her career with Prudential, Feeney has held several field leadership positions and home office executive roles. This included serving as president of Prudential Advisors, which is Prudential’s national sales organization comprising more than 3,000 financial professionals, advisors and fee-based financial planners.  

Feeney earned her MBA from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University. She holds the Chartered Life Underwriter® and Chartered Financial Consultant® designations.

Yanela Frias , Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Yanela Frias is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Prudential Financial, Inc. She was appointed in March 2024 and oversees global financial management matters, including financial reporting, investor relations, treasury, tax, corporate development, and actuarial. Prior to this position, Frias was president of Group Insurance, a business unit of Prudential, which produces and distributes a full range of group life, disability, voluntary, and corporate- and trust-owned life insurance.

Frias previously led Prudential Retirement, which provided defined contribution, defined benefit, nonqualified deferred compensation plan administration, and institutional investment and risk management services. Prior to that, Frias led the Investment & Pension Solutions business within Prudential Retirement where she was responsible for several businesses, including Pension Risk Transfer and International Reinsurance, and related institutional product innovation efforts domestically and internationally. Prior to her role with Investment & Pension Solutions, Frias held a number of increasingly responsible roles within Prudential, including serving as chief financial officer for Prudential’s Individual Annuities and Individual Life Insurance businesses.

She is a member of World 50, a private community for C-level executives from globally respected organizations to share ideas, solutions and collaborative discovery for a lasting impact.

Frias received a B.S. in accounting and an MBA in finance from Rutgers University and is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Ann Kappler , Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Head of Corporate Affairs

As executive vice president, general counsel and head of Corporate Affairs at Prudential Financial, AnnKappler is head of Law, Compliance, Business Ethics and External Affairs, and Corporate Affairs, including Global Brand, Inclusive Solutions, and Prudential Communications, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. She was appointed in September 2020 after serving as the company’s deputy general counsel and head of External Affairs for six years. In that role, Kappler oversaw Prudential’s corporate legal functions, including M&A, litigation, regulatory law and corporate investigations. She also led the company’s public policy advocacy, managing all federal, state and international government affairs activities.

Prior to joining Prudential in 2009, Kappler was a partner at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr in Washington, D.C., where she focused on emerging issues at the intersection of regulation, legislation and litigation. Her previous roles included litigation partner at Jenner & Block and general counsel at Fannie Mae.

Kappler serves on the boards of directors of the Pro Bono Partnership (treasurer) and the National Health Law Program (chair), and serves as program co-chair for the Georgetown Law Corporate Counsel Institute. She is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Dartmouth College Rockefeller Center for Public Policy. Kappler has served on the boards of the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, Appleseed Foundation, and Global Rights, and was a longtime member of the board of trustees of the Lowell School in Washington, D.C., where she served as chair. She has earned several awards such as 2018 Executive Women of New Jersey Policymakers honoree and was recognized on NJBIZ s 2023 Law Power 50 list. She is a frequent speaker on topics such as legal and compliance best practices and diversity.

Kappler graduated from Dartmouth College, magna cum laude, and received her law degree from New York University School of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of the Law Review. She clerked for Judge Abner Mikva of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Harry Blackmun.

Timothy Schmidt , Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer

Tim Schmidt is senior vice president and chief investment officer for Prudential Financial, Inc., responsible for asset/liability management, portfolio construction and investment strategy for Prudential’s international and domestic business operations. Schmidt also oversees the company’s alternative asset investing and the hedging of variable annuity guarantees and chairs the Senior Asset Liability Committee. In addition, he serves as Prudential’s representative to the Institute of International Finance’s Committee on Asset and Investment Management.

Previously he was the head of Global Portfolio Management for Prudential responsible for the investment portfolio and asset/liability management for Prudential’s global business operations. Before that, Schmidt was responsible for the overall asset/liability management for Prudential’s Retirement and Group Insurance businesses, and for providing leadership in the ongoing efforts to improve investment results and return on investment risk capital across all portfolios.

Prior to joining Prudential in July 2010, Schmidt served as CFO for MetLife’s Individual Business, which included the individual life and annuities businesses and MetLife’s Affiliated Distribution Group. Before that, Schmidt headed MetLife’s Wealth Strategy Group, which included MetLife’s Brokers/Dealers. Earlier during his 25-year tenure at MetLife, Schmidt held various positions in the investment organization, including head of MetLife’s Portfolio Management Unit, as well as its Structured Finance and Government Securities units. He started at MetLife as a private placement credit analyst.

Schmidt earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Augustana College. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Vicki A. Walia , Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer

Vicki A. Walia is the Chief People Officer at Prudential Financial. In this role, she leads the company’s global talent strategy, shaping an innovative, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture. With a deep commitment to empowering people and driving organizational success, Walia is responsible for all aspects of human resources and employee engagement, including talent management, talent acquisition, learning and development, and culture and inclusion.

Prior to becoming Chief People Officer, Walia served as Prudential’s head of HR for the U.S. businesses and Global Asset Management, where she oversaw HR teams across Prudential’s Insurance and Retirement businesses and PGIM, Prudential’s global asset management arm. In her earlier role as Chief Talent and Capability Officer, she led efforts to integrate talent management with organizational capability to advance the company’s strategic goals.

Walia brings extensive expertise in human resources leadership, honed through diverse and impactful roles. Before joining Prudential, she was head of People at Moody’s Analytics, where she developed the company’s human capital strategy and led the global HRBP team supporting nearly 6,000 employees. At AllianceBernstein (AB), she held senior leadership roles and oversaw talent, diversity and inclusion functions. In her final role at AB, Walia served as head of Digital Strategy and Innovation, spearheading initiatives that leveraged trends in technology, regulation, and investment services to enhance and differentiate the firm’s offerings and leading the firm’s efforts to be invested in the fintech ecosystem through partnerships and capital.

She began her career at Development Dimensions International (DDI), collaborating with clients on assessment, selection and leadership/executive development projects.

A recognized thought leader, Walia has delivered numerous professional and scientific presentations at the annual meetings of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Academy of Management. She has also served as an associate professor at NYU, teaching analytics. Walia holds a B.F.A. in music from York University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from Alliant International University.

Michael Estep , President, Group Insurance

Michael Estep is president of Prudential Group Insurance, a business unit of Prudential Financial, Inc., which manufactures and distributes a full range of group life, long-term and short-term disability, voluntary, and corporate and trust-owned life insurance in the U.S. 

Since joining Prudential in 2022 as head of Product & Underwriting for Group Insurance, Estep has led all aspects of product strategy, including the development of a strategic roadmap for Group’s current and future product portfolio with a focus on customer relevancy and sustainable, profitable growth. He became president of the Group Insurance business in March 2024. 

In addition, Estep serves as the executive sponsor for the VETNET business resource affinity group at Prudential. 

Prior to joining Prudential, Estep served in numerous senior leadership roles in the group and voluntary benefits marketplace. Previously, he led product at Guardian Life Insurance. There he was accountable for the P&L, product development, enrollment, and strategy and execution. 

Estep earned his MBA from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of Wisconsin, Parkside.

Salene Hitchcock-Gear , President, Individual Life Insurance

Salene Hitchcock-Gear is president of Prudential Individual Life Insurance, a business unit of Prudential that offers competitive solutions to meet the needs of consumers through the manufacturing and distribution of a diverse portfolio of life insurance products.  

An insurance industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Hitchcock-Gear joined Prudential in 2017 as chief operating officer of Prudential Advisors, the company’s retail and advice organization with approximately 3,000 financial advisors and fee-based financial planners who offer clients a broad range of financial solutions. She became president of the Individual Life Insurance business in 2018. 

Previously, Hitchcock-Gear served as president and CEO of Ameritas Investment Corp. and president and CEO of Acacia Life Insurance Company.  

Hitchcock-Gear serves on a number of boards. She is the Chair of the board of trustees of the American College of Financial Services and serves on the Life Insurance Committee of the American Council of Life Insurers. She is also executive sponsor for the Women Empowered employee affinity group at Prudential.  

Hitchcock-Gear holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law, as well as FINRA Series 7 and 24 securities licenses. Patrick L. Hynes , President, Prudential Advisors

Patrick (Pat) Hynes is the president of Prudential Advisors, Prudential’s U.S. retail and advice business. This business comprises more than 2,800 financial advisors and fee-based financial planners who offer clients, including more than 3.5 million American families, a full range of financial advice and solutions.  

Hynes brings more than 25 years of strategic leadership experience in financial services. He previously served as head of sales for Prudential Advisors, and also oversaw key functions, including Learning & Business Consulting, Recruiting, Financial Planning, and Leads. 

Prior to that, Pat served as the president of Pruco Securities, the broker-dealer of Prudential Advisors, where he successfully enhanced the experience of Prudential Advisors financial professionals and created an organization with strong standards and controls. Over his career he held various executive positions, including territory vice president and vice president of business development. 

Pat holds a bachelor’s degree from Iona College, a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and a MBA from NYU, Stern School of Business. He also holds his FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses

Lata N. Reddy , Senior Vice President, Inclusive Solutions Prudential Financial, Inc.; Chair, The Prudential Foundation

Lata N. Reddy is senior vice president, Inclusive Solutions at Prudential Financial, and chair of The Prudential Foundation.

In these roles, Reddy harnesses the power of capital markets to drive financial and social mobility. By combining diversity strategies, impact investments, philanthropy, corporate contributions and employee engagement with Prudential’s full business capabilities, she helps position the company to promote inclusive economic opportunity and sustainable growth.

Under Reddy’s leadership, Prudential became one of the first institutional investors to grow and manage an impact investing portfolio with $1 billion in assets under management. Additionally, she oversees a yearly grant-making budget of $40 million through The Prudential Foundation, and a $15 million corporate contributions budget.

Reddy originally joined Prudential in 1997. Prior to joining Prudential, she was a civil rights attorney with the U.S. Department of Education. Her dedication to promoting equity has spanned her career in the nonprofit, public and private sectors.

In addition to serving as chair of The Prudential Foundation and of the Newark Alliance, Reddy currently serves on the boards of several national organizations, including the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation and UNICEF USA. She also serves on the advisory board for the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance — a program of the Obama Foundation — and is a fellow of the Aspen Global Leaders Network. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Reddy was named to Mayor Ras J. Baraka’s Newark Reopening and Recovery Strikeforce in 2020, leading the Economic Recovery Committee.

Reddy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Emory University School of Law.

Dylan Tyson , President, Retirement Strategies and Head of Global Retirement Center of Excellence

Dylan Tyson is president of the Retirement Strategies business at Prudential Financial, Inc. and leads the company’s Global Retirement Center of Excellence.

The Retirement Strategies team protects the life’s work of more than three million people, providing over $15 billion of retirement income each year. The business expands access to retirement security by providing industry-leading solutions for growth and protection through its relationships with more than 100,000 retail financial professionals and 7,500 institutional clients across five key markets: individual annuities, pension risk transfer, stable value, longevity reinsurance, and structured settlements.

Prudential’s Global Retirement COE mobilizes the company’s insurance and asset management capabilities to expand its leadership and pioneer new opportunities in retirement markets around the world. By fully aligning its retirement approach across the global enterprise, the COE focuses on maximizing Prudential’s impact in current markets and delivering retirement security in brand-new ways, to help more people live better lives, longer.

Tyson joined Prudential in 1995 and has held advancing leadership roles in the U.S. and internationally, including as president and CEO of Prudential of Taiwan and chief strategy officer for Prudential Life Insurance of Korea. Previously, Tyson served as senior vice president and head of Pension Risk Transfer, leading the breakthrough General Motors pension risk transfer transaction, among others.

Tyson represents Prudential on industry associations and as a member of outside boards, including the Insured Retirement Institute, Fiduciary Exchange (FIDx), Evadata, and the Elizabeth Dole Foundation.

He received his bachelor’s degree with honors from Stanford University and earned his MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. He is a CFA® Charterholder.
