A long-awaited community center in Newark’s Fairmount Park, a state-of-the-art synthetic turf field in the Central Ward, and arts programs in Clinton Hill are among 17 beneficiaries of $30 million in grants from Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU) to support nonprofit capital campaigns and endowments throughout the city’s five wards. The 17 nonprofits receiving the grants offer high-quality education, robust cultural experiences, basic needs programs, and safe parks and recreation facilities.
